Dedicated Associate Attorney in Hudson Valley
Attorney Anne B. Letterio received her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School
in 2012. Since then, she has amassed an impressive range of professional
legal experience and knowledge that she now uses to assist personal injury,
tax, and commercial business clients here at Michael R. Varble & Associates, P.C.
Before she even began her legal career, Anne dedicated her work to helping
clients overcome legal obstacles at the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. There,
as a legal intern, she assisted clients facing tax controversies with
the IRS and the state of New York. She would also go on to intern for
General Electric, where she assisted in various corporate tax and finance matters.
Later, Anne became a judicial intern for the Honorable James D. Pagones
and drafted options in personal injury, contract, and commercial transaction
cases for both the Dutchess County Surrogate's Court and the Dutchess
County Supreme Court. She would later join a Poughkeepsie firm as an associate
attorney, where she continued to contribute in the commercial transaction
and personal injury practice areas, but also gained valuable criminal
defense, litigation, and appellate experience.
Previous to joining our team, Anne served as Assistant Corporation Counsel
for the City of Albany. In this position, she was the primary prosecuting
attorney for the city and represented Albany in matters including police
liability, appeals, tort defense, and Article 78 proceedings. She also
practiced tax certiorari litigation at this position and served as in-house
counsel for the Albany Water Municipal Finance Authority and Albany Water Board.
Attorney Letterio now brings her wealth of institutional knowledge and
legal acumen to her clients' cases at Michael R. Varble & Associates,
P.C. Her capacity to offer insightful, detail-oriented counsel across
multiple practice areas not only furthers our firm's mission to bring
comprehensive representation to every case that we handle but also to
provide legal solutions our clients can trust.
